The handicapping (runner probability ratings) give you a bookie independent probability of each runner winning the race. They are calculated using a sophisticated proprietary method employing Machine Learning (Artificial Intelligence) among other things. The odds derived from the handicapping provide you with a line in the sand...the closer you get to achieving those odds (or better), the better value you're getting. With pari-mutuel betting, you only really have an idea of what odds you will receive very close to the jump as the final odds are determined after all the bets have been collected. Because of this, and due to there being more data available, we recommend waiting until the 'Final' predictions are in before making your decision to punt.
